So you want to be a Painter?  That was the comment my father made to me in 1999 when I went to him with my new idea of a business.  I had a friend in San Diego who had a CertaPro franchise and I was looking around for my next adventure.  I had a secure job at Rockwell Collins but felt the need to be out on my own.  I had owned a business out of college that I had closed 4 years prior to joining Rockwell but it was too limited in Iowa.  So when I went looking for a business I wanted a business in a box.  What I really liked about CertaPro was that it was a service that almost everyone needs and it is a reoccurring, everyone who owns a home has interior walls that need painting.  Plus I have a franchise who has systems, policies and procedures I could follow.  I didn't have to reinvent the wheel so to speak.  Plus the professionalism I could offer in the market was second to none.  So I made the leap in 2000 and after a pretty successful 10 years we have painted over 3200 homes in Cedar Rapids/Iowa City and over 300 business/commercial properties. 

At your first appointment with CertaPro you can expect a detailed computerized proposal specific to your painting project, two year warranty, proof of insurance, testimonials from previous customers, and various payment options.  Once you chose Eastern Iowa's most referred painter, we'll guide you through every stage of your painting project.  We also offer color consultations and carpentry services.

Our staff and painters are committed to service.  We finished 2009 with a 98.7% referral rating and a 74.6% Customer Experience rating.  These ratings are unheard of in the Home Improvement Industry.
